The Moon is in Sagittarius, getting ready to cross over into Capricorn this full moon weekend. Although the moon will appear full from today to Sunday night, it will actually be the official Thunder (or Buck) full moon just before midnight on July 4. This full moon coincides with a partial lunar eclipse that lasts until the wee hours of July 5. This marks the end of the summer eclipse season and will be in effect until the next eclipse season in November/December of this year.
For many of you this will simply be a powerful and emotional full moon, but for those with planets near the mid degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer and Libra, there will be a more powerful effect. There will likely to be some sort of clash over returning to pre-Covid behavior (Moon passing over the south node in Sagittarius) and a new definition of self care (Cancer) based on science. Because the moon is full, light will be shed on this issue. The eclipse will be visible from North America and Africa, so those areas will be particularly influenced by the eclipse.
Before we get to the eclipse, however, the Moon is in Sagittarius and is about to conjunct the south node - behaviors from the past. The south node indicates where we have been, not where we are going. The amazing lineup of Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn - all in Capricorn - is still active. All signs point to a desire on the part of some to return to the state they have always known. Families want to see families; they want to believe in the philosophy and traditions of the past. But there is another contingent, symbolized by the Sun, that isn't ruled as much by feeling as by facts (Sun in Cancer near North Node in Gemini). They are respecting the need to self isolate and the damage that can happen by acting in a risky manner(Sun in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces and Square Mars in Aries).
In other words, we will see both - those that are rational and worried about open contact and those that want a return to their old way of life. With the Moon and the South Node in Sagittarius, the natives are restless, kemo sabe!
